It does the book justice, which is seriously saying something. My child adores it and so do My wife and I. The characters are fun and easy to fall in love with.

This show is funny and light hearted. My family loves it. I was surprised to see how low the numerical rating for the show is based on how lovable it feels. The cast is identity diverse and it's never brought up as a thing; It just is. Even though it is never brought up/acknowledged just the idea of presenting non-traditional individuals is enough to lower the rating for some people. Please don't let the hateful biased reviews impede your ability to enjoy this show. My kids are not curious about questioning the gender of characters. Furthermore, no such questions are posed within the shows narratives. We find the animation style charming and the writing is funny enough for us adults to enjoy. I whole heartedly recommend!

It's a great combination of classic storytelling and unexpected characters. They do a nice job of avoiding stereotypes without coming off like it's trying to hard to teach a lesson.

I started watching this show as a fan of Kate Beaton (the author of the source material) and it is so much fun! Pinecone and her trusty (round) steed Pony are part of a training group for young warrior and (as you can surely guess) along the way she learns that being a warrior sometimes means being a good friend/ a thoughtful person/ sharing your feelings ect. The cast is identity diverse and it's never brought up as a thing; It just is. The main adult characters are all involved, caring figures committed to helping the kids grow into better people, be it a warrior, wizard, or whatever. The main adult characters are all involved, caring figures committed to helping the kids grow into better people, be it a warrior, wizard, or whatever. The children are treated as full fledged people with valid thoughts and feelings that are worthy of respect. Which I find is a refreshing change from how children tend to be portrayed. As far as the plot goes, children will have tons of fun watching the adorable characters go on everyday adventures. It's mostly plot arch free so you can watch when or where ever in the series you like!

This will give you all of the feels. I laughed, I was caught up in the action, my eyes may have leaked a couple of times. A perfect blend of Ms. Frizzle, Arthur and Just for Laughs- EVERYONE will enjoy Pinecone and Pony!!

Hey folks, if you don't recognize Pinecone and Pony, that just means you get to find the book that started it all. Based on Beaton's "The Princess and and The Pony" story book, this series expands on brave Pinecone and her stalwart yet rotund Pony sidekick. Endearing and cozy, these two and their friends and family have adventures and fun. Expressive eyes and occasional flatulence are present of course, as well as vivid image-work and heartfelt writing. You can see that those involved love what they do, and loved making this. If you have kids, big or little, this is something to share with them, because you'll all enjoy it.

My 5 year old daughter loved Pinecone & Pony but the best part is that I really enjoyed it to. Great messaging but in a funny, smart tone. A nice reprieve from other cartoons that I am cannot enjoy.

Warm, adventurous and funny! My daughter loves this show and has already watched the entire season, twice. The Pinecone warrior is a great role model for young girls. Great show! Looking forward to season 2.

You never know with streamers these days, the tend to drop content without much of a fanfare and that's how I came upon this show on AppleTV+. Always looking for content for my 6-year old that is for his age, still engaging and most importantly positive - this show checks all the boxes. He was enthralled, and sings the theme song all the time now. Thanks Apple and Dreamworks for putting out something in the world that is encouraging kids to love one another and find the little warrior within. Highly recommended.
