I'm starting to think that this war was never between Optimus Prime and Megatron but rather between Unicron and Primus, I'm just saying. It's a great movie too actually, IT brought me to peace with myself because the last episode of season 3 ( Deadlock) had not been a satisfying finish to the absolute most greatest Transformers ever made. Other than the movie and the series both being too short and ending too early, Transformers prime is a great show. Kudos to Hasbro for this one.

This TV movie was as a decent epilogue for the Transformers Prime series. This is the kind of satisfying conclusion I would wanted for the 2012 version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles instead of what we got.

First of all I must say I was a big fan of transformers prime, and was my introduction to the transformers series, I watched the animated and the Michael bay movies but they really couldn't catch me the way prime did, and after having to endure years upon years to finally get me a hbo max account I must say it was well worth the waiting, that said, this movie, as the ending of the beast hunters saga, was a disappointment, I don't know the behind the scenes of the production but you can tell it was not only rushed but it was gutted as well, the first half hour of the movie was not only on par with the series at its best but even managed to surpass it for a moment, but afterwards it quickly became clear there was a shift during the production of the movie, as at least one third of the entire runtime seems to have been taken away, and the writers seemingly had to panic and scramble ideas to tie up what's still left of the movie, ideas had to be abandoned, plot points scrapped and recycled and the ending had to be rushed, at the end, there was no beast hunting, no (alive) predacons rose up, and no epic battle between our three main players, with the ending being as close to a deus ex machina, even if it ultimately (kind of) made sense given the situation. It left me wondering what happened behind the scenes more than what happened on screen. It was okay, you should watch it.

I watched this right after finishing Transformer Prime Season 1 to 3 and I'm absolutely touched. The story is INCREDIBLE, logics are tight, characters are ALIVE and the voice actors are simply amazing! To be honest, I never understood why Transformers are such a hit UNTIL I watched the TFP series, especially after getting so deeply disappointed by the non-sense, sexist Transformers movies first. My recommendation: Watch the Transformers Prime TV shows first before watching this movie; it will make the movie 10 times better, promise. If you only want to enjoy some special effects and mindless explosions and cares nothing about the story, character development and basic logics, by all means, go for the Transformers movies. But if you are sincere about getting to know a truly magnificent story and to see the real charm behind each Transformer, including the Decepticons, Transformers Prime WILL NOT DISAPPOINT. My only regret is that I watched the Prime series too fast.

After finishing Transformers I had no idea this movie even existed. I watched this movie when I was going on a school trip however because of the network I lost connection to it after when there were about 35 minutes remaining of the film. But luckily when the school trip was over and I arrived back home I picked up where I left and finished it. However, if you haven't watched TFP I would recommend you to watch it so you would have an idea of what the movie is about. I found it weird that Knockout becomes an Autobot at then end of the movie and the idea of it is making me curious if he will betray them later on or not. But it was nice hearing John Noble as Unicron again from the first season.
