I have seen better Elementary school productions everything about it is awful -dialogue -the lines the actress -the actor the goofy scenes just a pile of trollop

I get that it's funny to watch a movie where the female lead is a klutz, and a bit of an idiot. Plus the intended male lead is painted as a criminal. I honestly wanted these two to wind up in jail. I couldn't get past the long string of blunders and obvious idiocy. I can't imagine anyone - outside a serial killer - asking this woman out twice. PASS THIS like a Rune

My love for made-for-tv Christmas movies goes beyond what some would say borders sanity. No matter how cheesy, how sickly-sweet, how unearthly romantic...I still LOVE them. So it gives me great pains to write this review. The writing on this movie is awful. It is so bad, I can't tell whether the acting is poor, or the actors are simply trapped inside this epic disaster with no opportunity to shine. I am not a quitter, but I had to stop watching past the midway point....feeling compelled to write this review....and I am honestly not sure if I can go back to finish it. I think I may need to watch another Christmas movie immediately to cleanse my pallet. I'm not trying to be mean...I sincerely hope the writers are paying attention...because as I can see, I am not the only one who felt this way watching.

Stupid story, horrible acting and writing, very misogynistic. Nothing in this movie makes sense, they also treat a grown woman like she is an idiot, which is very annoying, the romantic leads have no chemistry.

Poor storyline bad acting, nothing was believiable. Thought maybe it was suppose to be funny didn't crack smile entire time. Expected more from the main character but being so badly written couldn't shine no matter how hard they tried. But hey it was a paycheck.

The plot is a little more interesting than a typical Hallmark-ish movie but the mediocre script and bad acting pretty moderate any glimmer of hope for something entertaining. If Lauren Holley wasn't in this it wouldn't be watchable at all but she does a decent job of comedy acting. A couple of the other leads aren't bad but the male love interest is so bad its embarrassing to watch and that cancels out any chemistry for the couple at the center of the movie.

MovieMom1973 here!! so after the shocking experience we had with our relatives yesterday, my husband, two daughters and I decided to find a real Christmas movie to brighten our holiday season back up and we were so fortunate to find this one!! i'm so happy that Hallmark still makes quality Christmas movies like this!! what could be better than family, Hallmark, and #MOMMYJUICE?? so the movie opens with our main character mackenzie undercover to try and catch a criminal!! we hear her talking with her partners about how Christmas is the best time of the year and that made us all smile so much!! it was also really impressive how much she knew about Christmas trees!! also we learn that she has TWO Christmas trees in her apartment!! #relateable to keep the criminal from leaving, she flirts with him and her partners talk about how she's bad at flirting but honestly i have to say she flirted really well and it was realistic and refreshing to see something so true to life!! but unfortunately the criminal figures out what she's doing and runs away and KNOCKS OVER A CHRISTMAS TREE in the process!! it was really shocking that Hallmark would allow something like that in their movie but i guess it did help show that this was a bad person!! #trueevil!! it also turns out that mackenzie's mom is her police captain too!! i would love it if i could work with my daughters one day!! it really goes to show how important family is!! and it turns out that mackenzie is going to a singles' party for Christmas, so you know that something exciting must be coming up!! when she's there she talks about how she wishes she could meet a man in a magical, movie kind of way. even though her friends tell her life doesn't work that way, right after she meets a charming man by slipping off of a stool and into his arms!! it's a moment that will really warm your heart!! also who says that people don't meet like they do in the movies?? my husband and i met at a café when we both ordered the exact same thing, a cucumber and mayonnaise sandwich!! we ended up splitting the sandwich AND the rest of our lives together and it was VERY magical thank you very much!! then an fbi agent comes to the police station and i have to say that i didn't like her very much because she didn't approve of there being Christmas decorations!! also she wants the local police to help her catch a criminal...who turns out to be the charming man that mackenize met!! #plottwist!! they all then decide that mackenzie will go on a date with him to try and help their investigation!! one thing that was a little concerning is that mackenzie asks her mom to stop calling her pumpkin!! my husband and i paused the movie and had a long talk with our daughters about hos it is important to appreciate the terms of endearment that your parents have for you!! i honestly can't even imagine how sad i would be if my daughters asked me to stop calling them my little snow berries!! #parentslovetheirchildren when mackenzie goes on the date it was so romantic and funny!! the guy quoted some movie that none of us had ever heard of called ferris bueller so we looked it up but it's not a Hallmark movie so i don't know if we'll watch it!! the movie ultimately gets to a really shocking conclusion, but in the end true love wins and everyone who isn't a bad guy gets to have a merry Christmas!! i do have to say i wish there weren't any guns because it's a family movie, but the rest of the movie was so wonderful that i can forgive that!! okay!! MovieMom1973 signing off for now!! #MovieMom1973 #REALreviewer #reviewercommunity #talktoyourchildren #HallmarkHERO #MOMMYJUICE!!

I thought this movie was very funny and I think the acting was actually great - much better than the standard Christmas movie. A great ensemble cast. The characters were lifelike too. It was almost like it could have stood on its own as a funny cop procedural show. Nice work!

This is a cute movie!! It kind of reminds you of Miss Congeniality in someways but at Christmas!! The plot IS good for a Christmas time movie! Acting is not as bad as the fake hate reviews say!! It's worth watching once, not going to give spoilers here!! Watched it on Netflix today!!

The movie had an interesting idea of a story, though it was predictable. There were however, some parts that were idiotic, like the leading lady's mom (too much over the top) and the big twist in the end.
